Plant Mega Pack Screenshots and Recipes

Plant-Mega-Pack-Mod
Variety: There are over 400 plants in Plant Mega Pack, organized in 21 categories that closely match elements within the game. Some plants grow close to the ground, others tower above trees, and some even inflict damage.

Crafting: Most plants can be crafted into a dye and some can be used in special recipes to make other useful items or food.

Plant Growth: Most plants have multiple growth stages and will progress to maximum growth over time, or you can use bone meal on them to increase their growth rate.

During the Worldgen process, plants spawn at random growth stages to improve the realism of plant clusters and groupings.

World Generation: PMP generates every one of its plants somewhere in your worlds. Most are quite common, many are less common, and some are rare.

Realism: A lot of effort has been placed into maintaining realism in PMP – all of the plants in this mod are real, and the locations where they spawn have been selected to match real places as close as possible.

Textures: All of the textures in Plant Mega Pack were carefully crafted in an attempt to achieve a vanilla appearance.

World generation is completely functional and configurable, and all plants are spawning somewhere in newly generated worlds.

PMP divides a world into over 60 unique spawn locations, each of which has a unique set of plants that will spawn there. Several variables are used in generation: biome type, temperature, elevation, light level, proximity to objects and proximity to adjacent biomes.

See the Config File section below to learn how to customize Plant Mega Pack’s world generation to suit your needs.

When viewing a plant in inventory the following tooltip is presented:

You can toggle the display of scientific names, attributes and growth stages in the config file.

Plant-Mega-Pack-Mod

There are four configuration files to control various aspects of Plant Mega Pack:

1) blockids.cfg
Used for 1.6.4 only. Controls individual block and item id’s.

2) main.cfg
Contains general settings.

3) plants.cfg
Plants can be disabled, or you can set how many of each plant spawns in a single cluster. All plant configs are an integer value between 0 and 10. Possible values:
0 = disable plant from generating
1-10 = number of plants that will spawn per cluster

4) worldgen.cfg
The parameter ‘controlPassesPerChuck’ controls how many times PMP will attempt to generate something in a chunk (16×16 area). Possible values:
0 – disable PMP world generation
1-15 – frequency of overall generation (higher numbers increases generation)
Default = 8

(1.7.2 only) The parameter ‘debugEnabled’ is used for debugging only! Warning: setting this to true will cause PMP to spawn wool blocks everywhere. The colors of the wool blocks indicate the decorator used by PMP to decorate each location. Use only on test worlds!

Each of PMP’s internal decorators can be disabled or you can set the rate at which plants are spawned:
0 = disable biome decorator
1-100 = % frequency of generation (higher numbers spawn more plants)

  2. I’m not finding any new plants in the environment 🙁 They are all in the creative inventory though. Does anyone know how to fix this? They are all supposed to generate randomly throughout each biome right? I’m using ver. 1.8

  7. im seeming to not find the recipe to craft bamboo blocks… no one seems to have it XD

    • Simply place the bamboo on a crafting table to make bamboo sticks. Place 9 sticks all over the crafting grid to make 1 bamboo block =)

  8. All the plants seem to grow towards the upper west corner of the block – this looks very bad in planters. Also, I can’t seem to harvest any crops – can someone tell me how and why?

  12. I tried harvesting my blueberry bush but it just give me the bush! I need some help. People said to punch the plant and to make sure it was full grown, but I did both and it still gives me the bush. Am I supposed to break it with a sword or something? I don’t know but it isn’t working for me.

  13. Please fix the bugs on 1.8. Every time I try to collect berries, it doesn’t give me the berries and I instead collect the bush. It’s so disappointing because I was really looking forward to this mod.
