More Furnaces Mod for Minecraft 1.4.2

Smelting items in Minecraft takes quite a long time and it can be frustrating when you have to sit around and wait for your items to smelt. More Furnaces allows you to build new and faster furnaces that are also more efficient when using coal. The three new furnaces it adds are iron furnaces, gold furnaces and diamond furnaces. These furnaces may seem pricey to construct (taking 9 iron ingots, 9 gold ingots and 9 diamonds to build the best furnace), but in my opinion, they are worth the production cost. Using the iron furnace, it can smelt 10.6 items for every bit of coal.

Using the gold furnace, it can smelt 20 items for every bit of coal and finally, the diamond furnace can smelt a whopping 40 items per coal. This saves you not only a lot of coal but also a lot of your valuable time. One of the things I found extremely useful was the fact that you could smelt different items in same furnace. For example, using the iron furnace it gives to two spaces for your smelted items to collect. You could put both iron ore and sand in the same furnace and it would smelt them both simultaneously. I almost forgot to mention how cool the furnaces look. You now have the option to add a sleek metallic look to the inside of your house with your very own gold furnace. Overall, I recommend this mod if you are the type of person who doesn’t enjoy waiting around for your items to smelt.
