Dokucraft is a highly popular resource pack for Minecraft which offers users a variety of different sets of updates to change the appearance and feel of their game. Unlike probably 99% of other resource packs out there, this one comes with three different styles – Light, Dark and High, each of which look a little bit different. They aren’t different resolutions though, so it’s not like resource packs that have different levels of detail. All three styles look just as good, but there are some subtle (and more obvious) differences when using any one of the three.
The different styles are pretty self-explanatory too. Dokucraft Light has lighter shades for pretty much every texture, which makes many textures pop, even when you’re underground without an adequate light source. Dokucraft Dark, on the other hand, makes all the updated textures significantly darker. This is good for players seeking a more realistic mining experience, because it will be impossible to see anything underground without a light source. Dokucraft High utilizes many gray shades to make colors more vivid without being too bright or bold. It’s a nice middle ground.
Like some other resource packs, Dokucraft: The Saga Continues Resource Pack requires MCPatcher HD to work correctly. It won’t even install right if you try to do it manually, or even with a different program – it must be MCPatcher HD. Be sure to run the patcher before you try installing any mods, so you’ll be working with the most recent and stable version available. This resource pack features support for a few dozen different mods, some very popular, including Mo’ Creatures, Elemental Arrows, Airship and others. However, that doesn’t mean there are textures included for custom items, enemies and objects introduced by these mods.
