lol I thought this was a new way to dig lol…pretty cool :) not something I would use myself as I don’t normally like bud switches I like to have automatic stuff but I also like to have some degree of control…none the less still impressive…good work :)

I have no idea what this is, how it could be used, or basically anything about it….

Just sent you a quick video response for a much simpler design! Not sure if its smaller or not overall though…

Definitely do a bunch of these! A library of redstone/piston contraptions. I’ve already used your previous one as a reference for one of my server members “What’s a BUD switch?” questions. Gotta love the cut-and paste in chat now. “Just watch this video.”

A BUD switch detects any block update directly next to the sensor piston (ie. behind, left, right, below and above), so it’s a bud switch.

does the BUD only react on redstone dust placing?
because then its a RSBUD and not a BUD

so it’s a bud switch with constant output and it needs to be reset. nice :D

Cool. It is basically manually resetable BUD switch that acts like RS NOR Latch. You can reset it diagonally from top left or top right side of the piston (like in your design) or from top back side of the piston or from 2 block above the piston.

Although, having a look at it, all you need to do is add a torch below the block pushed by the bud piston were it is in the off position and then take an output from there 8)

I think I might record a whole stack of these little videos. I have a few little contraptions in my head. Some I know applications for, some I don’t. Maybe if I post them, it will appease my watchers because I will be uploading stuff, and I might get some great ideas from you guys 8)
