I created the Turrican II C64 logo in Minecraft, as was suggested by Polaventris and while doing so he showed me the use of mods for Minecraft and it is the first time I ventured into minecraft modding (client side that is). I put it off for a long time as I quite like the look of vanilla Minecraft. But when Juho showed me a screenshot of his setup I knew I just had to go give it a shot as well. – I use Magiclauncer to have various setups and quickly change between a modded version of MC and the stock version without having to do any manual things – Then I added OptiFine_1.4.6_HD_U_D5.zip and ShadersMod-mc1.4.6-ofuD5-1.43.zip in the setup and made a fancy pantsy Minecraft config – Shaders I added (have to select those from within the MC program) with the shader files added to the shaders folder in the minecraft directory in the home folder are: Zeekes V10 RC7 Settings 1.0.zip Zeekes Shaders 1.4.zip V3_preview.zip Sildurs intel shaders T7.4.zip SUES V10 RC7 Ultra.zip Looks beautiful but is not as smooth and fast running as stock Minecraft. But great for making MC footage showing off the creations I think. Thanks to Polaventris for pointing out those enhancements; www.youtube.com Thanks to Andy for creating those great tracks: www.youtube.com

Definitely very fancy pants 🙂 I wonder whether my desktop PCs graphics card is up to running that, as that looks very nice. Probably not practical for when you are doing any intensive building of course.
Really wish they would drop Java and work on native clients though.
