NetherOres Mod adds ore blocks to the Nether dimension that correspond to the Overworld ore blocks. Typically, these ores will yield at least twice as many resources than their Overworld counterpart. As a balance feature, they have a chance of exploding, and, if enabled in the configuration file, can anger nearby Zombie Pigmen. Additionally, if enabled in the configuration file, Nether Quartz Ore will behave in a similar way to the Nether Ores blocks. Nether Ores also adds a monster, the Hellfish, which is a Nether counterpart to the Silverfish.
This mod adds various world generating ores to the Nether only. A Nether ore typically yield double that of its respective Overworld counterpart. Mining these ores has a good chance of angering nearby Zombie Pigman. The mod’s ore only spawn if a mod that uses it is installed. It is recommended to consult NEI recipes and usage to determine the best method of processing for a given Ore.
