Getting started:
Getting started in AM2 is quite simple to do. First, you need to find a pool of liquid essence:
Place an item frame within a few blocks of the pool, and put a book into the item frame, and watch the show.This will give you the Arcane Compendium, which has everything you need to continue using the mod, from guides, to structures, to items, to bosses.
How to install Ars Magica 2 Mod:
- Download and install Minecraft Forge
- Download mod zip file
- Put downloaded zip file into C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods folder. Do not unzip it. If you don’t have a mods folder, create one

Hello, I was playing Ars Magica 2 in Minecraft 1.6.4 and we were trying to make a spell but we needed 500 Essence (Neutral), we realized we needed the Obelisk but there was a problem. We tried crafting it using the recipe it, but it didn’t work, then we went into creative and we couldn’t find it there. We have looked online to see if anyone had any answers for this, but we couldn’t find any. We are not sure what the problem is, and why we can’t get the Obelisk, we are hoping that asking on here could give us the answer to why we can’t find the Obelisk anywhere.

Playing in 1.6.4, and for some reason we can’t find the Obelisk in the creative section nor craft it in survival. We are leaving a reply here hoping for an answer to this problem, we have also searched a lot on the internet and can’t find an answer there either or anyone who has a similar problem to us.
