The guy behind the xies mods main aim is to create additional content for the game which makes the game more fun. He makes mods which he thinks improve the survival aspect of the game.
Xie mod is also known as the farming overhaul mod as it improves the farming aspect of Minecraft. The mod adds approximately 11 new blocks 32 new items and over 195 crafting recipes
Some of the new things added include new crops, plants and trees, the mod also adds new seeds and fertilizers to the game

How to Install Xie’s Mod for Minecraft 1.2.5
- Download ModLoader
- Download Xie’s Mod
- Open .minecraft
- Open the bin then Minecraft.jar
- Delete META INF
- Go back to .minecraft
- Open /mods ( Minecraft / mods)
- Put the files from xie into the mods folder
- Done you now have better farming and improved survival in Minecraft
